2/50 - Hex Hall

I have a love/hate relationship with going into NYC to meet with my boss every once in a while. While I'm not a huge fan of rush hour commuting, I do enjoy the 57 minutes of reading time. I spent my entire ride into the city rereading my presentation notes, only to have my boss hate it so much she scrapped it (but let me say, it was a presentation SHE had given me, not one I created) & gave me a new one to study. Joy! But, on my way back, I pulled out my Nook & started this little mindless gem:
Sophie gets sent to a juvie-ish school for delinquent witches, shapeshifters, fairies, & vampies by her warlock father who she's never met. Ok, let's not forget that I said this was a MINDLESS read & very much written for young adults. But after the morning I had with my boss, I needed mindless. And it was a surprisingly pleasant read, so much so that I finished today... with a nice glass of Reisling.

Not going to lie though... I feel like I owe my brain something with more "oomph" to it. What should I read next?
