I follow a crapload of blogs and just about everyday something catches my eye that I feel like I must try. Well, this awesome center piece from Hostess with the Mostess is definitely one of them.
I ran out to our giant backyard and picked up as many long twigs & branches I could find. When Serg saw me with an armful, I simply let him know I was FINALLY helping with yardwork ;) Since there have been a couple catastrophes with spray paint and I wasn't feeling particularly patient to wait for paint to dry (surprised?), I decided to leave them their natural bark-y color. Then I cut out a couple of circles on my Cricut in black, orange, and purple cardstock. Since I have SCAL, I downloaded a Halloween dingbat font, cut out a couple of shapes, slapped them onto my circles, added a ribbon... and VIOLA! My very own Halloween Tree!
I feel like something's missing... I'm sure I'll figure something out before our very first Halloween party on October 23rd! I'm definitely going to be adding a banner to the table.
Any suggestions?
