I Went For It: OPI Axxium Gel Polish

My guilty pleasure is a fresh manicure. I've had acrylics (in high school, people!), gels, regular manicures... Each type posed a problem: acrylics sucked, gels were expensive, limited in color & damaging, while regular manicures didn't last much longer than 4 days before chipping.

I found an answer to my manicure problems. Say hello to OPI's Axxium Gel Polish! This is a soak-off colored gel that doesn't chip. OPI promises a gorgeous, shiny manicure that lasts at least 2 weeks.

I had a hard time finding a salon near me that offered this service. Luckily, I stumbled across a small salon in Fanwood, NJ called Fanwood Nails that does OPI Axxium Gel manicures for $20! My sister was paying $35 in North Jersey.

Here are my nails in Big Apple Red. It was hard to stay away from my favorite fall colors, Lincoln Park in the Dark & You Don't Know Jacques, but I think it's a nice bright for the last leg of summer. I love how shiny they look & how there was no chance of me smudging them because they are dried & hardened under a UV light. SWEEETTTTTT!

I'll update again in a week on how they look... but as of right now, I can't stop staring at my mani!
