Leather Panel Pantalones

 Blazer - H&M, Sweater - F21, Necklace - F21, Pants - Ann Taylor, Shoes - Nine West

A couple of months ago, I fell in love with the idea of leather panel leggings like the Paige Black Label Palomas. But I couldn't bring myself to pay the hefty $299 price tag on something that a) I didn't know if I could pull off or b) how long will I really fit into them?
They are available on Nordstrom's website for $179 now! (Nordstrom)

So when I came across these Ann Taylor faux leather front panel skinny ankle pants, I jumped on the bandwagon.

Not only do they come in "petite" so I didn't have to hem them, but I also had a 40% coupon code which brought the $98 price tag down to about $58. Can't go wrong there! Now I won't feel guilty if I really can't button them up next time I try to pull them on, lol.

Bump Watch - 18 Weeks

Blazer - H&M (I guess I like to wear blazers on Tuesdays, lol), TShirt - H&M, Pants - Loft, Shoes - Nine West

How far along? 18 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +1 lbs since last week, so +3lbs pre-pregancy weight
Maternity clothes? I caved and bought pants this past weekend. My maternity jeans with the full panel will now be my Thanksgiving pants for the REST OF MY LIFE.
Stretch marks? No and I hope it continues that way.

Sleep: Tossing and turning.
Best moment this week: Hearing the heartbeat at my appointment with Serg. He got so excited!
Miss Anything? Having a glass of wine after a hard day at work.

Movement: The movement I thought I felt last week felt like a fish flopping around. Today I felt distinct jabs! I can't feel it from the outside yet.
Food cravings: Chocolate cake!
Anything making you queasy or sick: No queasiness, but heartburn has been coming around.
Have you started to show yet: Today at a training a teacher I saw in June yelled out, "OMG, she's pregnant!" so I would say yes, lol.
Gender prediction: I have mixed dreams every night. One night I dream I'm holding a boy, the next night I'm decorating a girl's nursery. It's confusing!
Labor Signs: No thank you.
Belly Button in or out? Disappearing...
Wedding rings on or off? On and same size!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Besides crying because of work yesterday, I've been happy and excited this week.
Looking forward to:
The anatomy scan/ultrasound on Monday! Fingers crossed that the baby is cooperating and shows us the goods! ;)

Easy Peasy Caramel Apple Crumble

This Friday was rainy and cold out and since I was working from home, I decided to make a yummy dessert for me and Serg. We had a couple of apples in the fridge so I set off to find an easy apple crumble recipe that I could make with the stuff I already had.

Easy Caramel Apple Crumble (adapted from this recipe on "Living the Gourmet")

Ingredients
- 6 medium apples - sliced & halved
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 stick of butter
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3 tbs. caramel sauce (I used Smuckers)
- 3 tbs. brown sugar

Directions
1. Preheat oven 350 degrees.
2. Coat the sliced apples in the caramel sauce and brown sugar. Place in a buttered baking dish.
3. Sift all of the dry ingredients into a bowl. Cut the butter into the dry ingredients and work into the mixture with your hands, until it's dry and crumbly.
4. Slowly add the milk and work into the dry mixture. Top the apples with the dough.
5. Bake until golden - approximately 40-45 minutes.

The apple crumble made our house smell so delicious, we couldn't even wait for it to cool to eat it. Totally worth the burnt tongue, lol.

Bump Watch - 17 Weeks

 Blazer - H&M, Dress & Houndstooth stockings - F21, Shoes - Aerosoles

How far along? 17 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +2 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Not yet but I might need some work pants soon.
Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep: Not quite as comfy as it used to be.
Best moment this week: Having brunch with my childhood best friend (who is due 3 days before me!), her mom, & my mom.
Have you told family and friends: Everyone and their mother knows, lol.
Miss Anything? The desire to eat.

Movement: I think so. But it doesn't happen often.
Food cravings: Still beer.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I've felt ok this week.
Have you started to show yet: I think this week I look more pregnant.
Gender prediction: Still no clue!
Labor Signs: No.
Belly Button in or out? Less deep than last week.
Wedding rings on or off? On. Fingers and feet are still the same size. Whew!
Happy or Moody most of the time:
Half & half but the moodiness is more about work than anything else.
Looking forward to:
My appointment on Friday. I'm not sure if there's an ultrasound but I'm hoping so!

Stripes, Bubbles, & Cowboy Boots

Jacket - Hollister, Dress - Old Navy (found here), Necklace - eBay, Boots - Rocket Dog

I wore this cute striped dress from Old Navy a couple of weeks ago to brunch with my parents. I loved the color combination and thought it went well with my turquoise bubble necklace and army green jacket. The dress is available in four different color blocking combos:

Sadly, after washing it for the first time in delicate cycle and hang drying, the navy stripes bled into the yellow color blocking. Old Navy's customer service is great and I was able to return it for a full refund.

I love me some blue gingham

 Cardigan - F21, Shirt - NY&Co, Pants - Loft, Shoes - Nine West

I purchased these lovely orange pants this weekend at Loft when they were having 50% off the sales price for $20. I had my eye on them for a while and I figured I might as well wear them while they still fit! As I poked through my closet for something to pair it with, I instantly went for my blue gingham shirt and I realized I have worn this thing to death. Here are some examples (including this exact color combo):

I can't even imagine what the cost per wear for this shirt would end up being since I only paid $12.99 for it! And once this one ends up retiring or falling apart at the seams, I'll need a replacement stat.

Bump Watch - 16 Weeks

Blazer, Scarf, Hat, & Jeans - F21, Boots - Target, TShirt - Hanes

 How far along? 16 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: -2 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Bought 2 pairs of jeans and 2 pencil skirts but not wearing any yet.
Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep: Sleep is all I can do.
Best moment this week: laughing with Serg about baby names
Have you told family and friends: Yep.
Miss Anything? My energy. I'm pooped.
Movement: I thought I felt something last week, like if I swallowed a goldfish but who knows, lol.
Food cravings: Beer. Seriously. And more specifically a Sam Adams Octoberfest.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Anything creamy and sweet. Bleh.
Have you started to show yet: I think I look like I put on a couple of pounds but I don't think people can tell I'm pregnant yet.
Gender prediction: Every other day I change my prediction but Serg thinks it's a boy.
Labor Signs: No, thank god.
Belly Button in or out? Still in but I don't think it's as deep! Weird.
Wedding rings on or off? On. My fingers haven't gotten swollen.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Moody this week. I don't understand why people feel the need to tell me gruesome pregnancy stories the second they hear I'm pregnant. How unpleasant.
Looking forward to: Finding out the gender & feeling the baby move!

Weekend in Vegas

Serg and I took a quick trip to Vegas two weekends ago to spend some time with family and celebrate our first anniversary. Although Vegas while pregnant wasn't exactly as fun as it could have been, we ate some delicious food and saw a fun show (Zumanity by Cirque du Soleil). It was great just to spend time with my sister & her boyfriend, my cousin & his fiancé, and my parents.

I arrived home that Monday exhausted (but not hungover! haha) only to find a work email about our national sales meeting being moved to January... in VEGAS. Oy, lol.

Sorry for the hiatus, peeps. I had some technical difficulties over on this end. Everything's back to normal!

Will be back to normal posting on Monday, promise.
