Bubbles & Cheetah Print

V-Neck - Hanes, Jeans - F21, Wedges - Colin Stuart for VS, Necklace - Ebay, Watch - Target

My day was filled with attempting to organize my dusty, messy storage unit and getting rid of old stuff I don't need. So when I came home and showered, all my brain could muster up was a Hanes white v-neck and some comfy jeans. But then the mail came... and with it came my J. Crew look-a-like bubble necklaces in turquoise & kelly green. I was so excited they got here (is there anything worse than waiting for shipping?!), I had the perfect excuse to throw it on to dress my boring outfit for dinner with a girlfriend. Not exactly how I was planning on styling it but, it did the trick :)

Camouflaging My Clumsiness

V-Neck - F21, Shorts - abercrombie kids (little boys size 14), Flipflops - Havaianas, Earrings - F21

Yesterday I managed to hit my knee so hard that I woke up this morning with an egg-shaped purple bruise that was not very attractive. I tried slipping on some jeans but the bruise hurt so bad that I had to switch into comfier shorts. I've had these camo cargos foreverrrrrr and they are perfect for a casual hot day running errands and shopping.

Speaking of which, I lucked out with some awesome finds at Forever 21 today, including this little cropped jacket. (No, I did not buy the matching skirt, lol).

I bought it in a size small which fit me perfectly in the shoulders and I can't wait to wear it this fall:
Hmm, I believe this is now jacket #29... Good lord.

I also grabbed about $30 worth of jewelry which translates to a crapton at F21. Then it was a stop at Sephora for another shot at foundation. The makeup artist suggested Clinique's new Stay-Matte Oil-Free Makeup for sheer to moderate coverage.

Garnier's BB Cream was way too oily for my skin and I heard some great things about Clinique's foundation. I ended up with shade 14 - Vanilla, a shade lighter than my skin tone because supposedly when you have oily skin, the makeup darkens once your natural oils mix with it. Never heard of that one but I thought it was a good match. Let's see how it goes. If it doesn't work out, I might give Urban Decay's new Naked Skin a try next.

Anyone else have a hard time finding foundation?

No excuses...

I've ignored the blog for way too long. And I'm sorry.

Work is always crazy as we approach the summer months with training and our big meeting in July. Not to mention, Serg and I went on a 10-day vacation in Spain, France, & Italy. Fancy, I know ;)

So I promise I'm going to try to get back into the swing of things and post more regularly with some crafts, outfits, and random musings. Sound ok?

Let's start off with a fun skirt, shall we?
Tank - Old Navy (here), Skirt - Marshalls (similar: here), Necklace - Loehmann's (similar: here)

I came across this skirt in the junior's section of Marshall's for $16.99 and couldn't pass it up. I didn't think it's necessarily practical but it's really fun for dinners/nights out. I'm not sure if you can tell in these pictures but it's a sheer overlay on top of a short mini. I bet you wouldn't leave it at Marshall's either.
